Eco- Council

At Mesne Lea Primary school our Eco council is a team of enthusiastic pupils dedicated to making our school a greener, more sustainable place.  Our role, is to encourage everyone to care for the environment and take action to protect our planet.

So far, our Eco council members have initially met and discussed the various initiatives and projects we can implement in school. Our current focus is  ‘Energy Monitors’ –we have made energy saving posters to put up around school and will continue to  check lights, computers and heating are turned off  around school when not needed.  

Future projects and initiatives we have discussed about our roles include; Recycling Champions and Wildlife Protectors, to help reduce waste, save energy and improve our school grounds. We intend to run activities like litter picks, gardening projects, recycling schemes and awareness campaigns to inspire positive change.  By working together, we aim to make a real difference in our school and local community.
